Board Meetings & Agendas
Houston County Board of Education meetings are held on the second Monday of each month unless a conflict occurs and the meeting date is rescheduled. Notification of rescheduled meetings will be provided on the district website, posted on the Board of Education office door, and posted in the Houston County Herald when print deadlines make it possible. Meeting agendas will be published on the district website at least two (2) business days prior to each scheduled meeting.

There will be a fifteen (15) minute public comment period for each meeting with actionable items on the agenda (with the exception of teacher disciplinary hearings). Comments shall be limited to topics listed on the agenda. Up to five (5) speakers may sign up on a provided sheet prior to the start of each meeting. Each speaker shall have no more than three (3) minutes to comment. Delegations shall select only one (1) individual to speak on their behalf.
