Board Meetings & Agendas
Houston County Board of Education meetings are held on the first Monday of each month, unless a conflict arises and the meeting is rescheduled. Notification of rescheduled meetings will be provided on the district website, posted on the Board of Education office door, and published in the Houston County Herald when print deadlines allow. Meeting agendas will be published on the district website at least two (2) business days prior to each scheduled meeting.

There shall be a public comment period at each meeting with actionable items on the agenda, except for teacher disciplinary hearings. Comments shall be limited to topics listed on the agenda and matters that are germane to the school board’s jurisdiction. The total public comment period shall be for no more than fifteen (15) minutes. If an individual wishes to address the Board, he/she shall sign up on the provided form before the board meeting to request time to speak. Up to five (5) speakers shall be given no more than three (3) minutes each to speak. Delegations shall select only one (1) individual to speak on their behalf unless otherwise determined by the Board.
