Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 require school districts to have officially adopted policy statements of nondiscrimination.
As per Board of Education policy 5.300 adopted 7/8/13 and 6.304 adopted 7/11/16, applicants for employment, students, parents of elementary and secondary school students, employees, sources of referral of applicants for employment, and all unions or professional organizations holding collective bargaining or professional agreements with Houston County Schools are hereby notified that this institution does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, sex, age, religion, or disability in access to, treatment of, or employment in its programs and activities.
