Hello ALL HCMS Students!

I invite all HCMS students (and parents) to sign up for your FREE library card from the Tennessee Electronic Library! There are lots of e-books and audiobooks available, along with many other resources.

To get your FREE library card online just Google: tntel.info  --- OR type in Tennessee Electronic Library. (This is a FREE service from The State of Tennessee!)

To get your card:

Go to 'Students' on the bar menu, click that and you will see "Middle School" along with other choices. Click 'Middle School.' -- You can view resources, and if you want to check out books go to the ---- e-books or audiobooks link. -- click that and you will see a dropdown menu asking you to choose your Public Library: Scroll down and select: Houston County Public Library and click 'submit.'  

You will see books you may checkout, including a wide selection of 'Harry Potter' books.

You will need to sign up for a FREE library card to checkout books.

To sign up, enter your mobile phone number. Once you enter your mobile phone number and submit, a VERIFICATION CODE number will be sent to your phone. Enter the verification code and then you have your FREE library card and can begin checking out e-books, audiobooks and other materials.

(Once you sign out, you will need to enter your mobile phone number and then enter the NEW verification code sent to  your phone to sign back in.)

I'm David R. Ross. I am the Library/Media Research coordinator  and Title I coordinator for HCMS. I'm also a Related Arts teacher and a RTI2 instructor. Most of you all already know me. I hope you are safe and getting plenty of chances to read!

I also serve as HCMS Yearbook advisor. I'm one of the advisors for the HCMS Fellowship of Christian Athletes club. 

I've also taught seventh and eighth grade Reading/Language Arts at HCMS. I have previously worked as a high school English/Journalism and Creative Writing teacher. Before I became a teacher, I worked as a newspaper reporter/editor/photographer.

I Hold a Master of Arts degree in English; a Master of Science degree in Journalism/Communications; a Bachelor of Science degree in Radio/Television Communications. I also have 18 graduate hours toward my Master of Teaching degree and I have graduate hours on top of my degrees in the content areas of graphic arts; technical writing and professional writing.
